Board of Directors

Coaching Director: serve as a resource for volunteer coaches. Help create & organize a standardized youth “coaching curriculum” for LVR that is appropriate for different ages and level of play. Trouble shoot coach compliance issues, including helping navigate U.S. Soccer Learning Center and the RMA background check process. Communicate by sending periodic email updates to coaches reminding
them of available resources. Busy time of the year is Jul. – Oct.

House League Manager: responsible the U7-U9 program, including managing permit, equipment, and communication of program to parents and coaches. The House League Manager coordinates the setting up & breaking down Eckstein Middle School fields on Saturday/Sunday for games. This includes arriving on-time to open the parking lot, opening our locked storage with goals, helping coaches line cones and goals, and supporting game coordinators. Answering on field questions by coaches and parents while ensuring all teams abide by LVR and SYSA rules and regulations.

Equipment Manager: responsible for purchasing and maintaining club uniforms and other equipment such as soccer balls, nets, goals, etc. Work closely with the registrars to align team headcount and relay accurate date to our vendor for a purchase order. Collaborate with the board and align with Treasurer on annual budget for uniforms and/or uniform redesigns. Distribute equipment to and collect
unwanted equipment from coaches as needed.

School Liaison / Communication Coordinator: bring awareness during Fall Registration (begins in May) by helping ensure all kids & parents/caregivers are aware it’s time to register. Posting on school newsletters, Facebook (or other social media, and communicating with WSC information. Must be social media savvy, organized with deadlines for submissions, and kept up to date on school happening. Also, must enjoy engaging with the community and following up with parent questions resulting from outreach. We also have a fantastic Financial Aid/Scholarship program that often goes under-utilized.

Secretary: ensures the club operates within all governing organizations and documents. Primary duties include scheduling and attending the board meetings every other month, keeping minutes, and making sure the business of the club is attended to. As a voting member of the board, this role is great for someone who wants to volunteer but does not have the capacity to take on too much.
